Mannequin obtained

and as with all highly anticipated things, I was rather disappointed with the final looks. I expected it to be full sized, ie as large as I am, but it looks much smaller than that. /sigh.
Anyway, I tossed my BM AF on it, and decided to level DRG. (I change my mind a lot lately, don’t I?) I dressed up in full Merc. Cptn. outfit upgraded my weapon, and got a pt within 10 minutes. We did well, and when it was bedtime I had gone from barely 37 to almost 40.
I do need to upgrade some equipment, so I will have some farming to get done (or get lucky on a BCNM run).
To night is maintenance, so by the time I can get on, I’ll try and get some farming done. Or I can try to solo a bit (I need 1.5K for level 40) and quest for the AF weapon.

Finally…

For as long as I know about mannequins, I wanted one. And now, finally, after more a year I got the last piece. Most parts I had were gifts, from people that no longer play the game (shadowm) and people I lost contact with (Mangoman), some pieces I got from a BCNM, and one piece was bought from a bazaar.
I traded all pieces to the cat in Mhaura’s Goldsmithing guild, and was told to wait.
Tonight I will pick up this show-piece and I’ll probably spend the night in my moghouse

When I logged on yesterday I saw besieged was about to start, and decided to try and get my level back on BLM. I was 1200 tnl, so it should be possible. While checking bazaars I found the afore mentioned Mannequin body.
Besieged was fun, now that I had completely capped my magic skills, so I could do what I wanted, instead of spamming one spell over and over.
When besieged was over I received 1160xp, so I headed to San d’Oria [S] to do a bit of ops, and sure I got my level back.

I was originally planning on doing the next besieged as well (there were 3 in a row yesterday), and headed back to whitegate, listening to the shouts for missions/assaults/bcnms, but none were targetted at me, and I decided to forget and do some farming (less then 20K to my name).

I guess I will be doing a lot of that, farming, while lfg this week. I have decided that I want more merrits ans capped xp.

Where to go now….

Last weekend I farmed a Golden Hakutaku Eye, so a friend can make me a new cluster. So that’s another thing of my list. I also did Ilrusi Atol runic portal, so I now have 6/6 Runic Portals.
Nothing shocking, but it had to be done.
I had a pt as Bard in the dunes sunday, spend 2+ hours there and made about 300xp, so BRD just got postponed. XP-ed a bit on BLM after that. I even dinged 58 and wore the AF body. But as luck would have it, I get resisted on the very next MOB, Elemental Seal + SleepII, resisted, sleep I resisted, sleepga resisted, death, delevel, RR just wore off, HP and can’t be bothered to walk back to Pso-Xja.
So I leveled SAM from 7-9 which was surprisingly funny, and SAM AF looks cool ……
Maybe I am more of a DD kind-a guy then I wanna admit.
For now, I will see how long I can stick to SAM before I get bored with it….

Self sufficiency

I was leveling BRD yesterday, and when I hit level 10, I subbed DNC, so I could dance to my own tunes.
I never needed a rest after that, I could just tear through KRT without ever resting. OK I was only facing EP and DC mobs (I tried an EM in Latheine earlier and died to that because I missed to much). At level 11 I was planning to make my way back to Latheine again and try some harder since I had access to Sword Madrigal, but I needed to fight my way back to Ronfaure, and by the time I was out of KRT I was only a few 100 XP from level 12 so I fought my way to the outpost and killed when I dinged 12 I teleported home, teleported to Bastok (I love it that we, San d’Orians, can do that and for free), got the lvl 12 song and headed to Whitegate for a double Besieged on BLM.

I managed to cap all my magic skills again.

Not much else done, I need to get me a golden eye and I will get a new cluster for an O-hat. So I’m scanning the bazaars of people I see, but so far I found none.

NO-hat

I was gonna write up a rant about people not being on time for events, and whatnot, but I’ll stick to what happened last weekend.

I logged on saturday at 7.30, ready for the O-hat run that started at 7.00 (my time). I had logged off in the Den of Rancor (Thanks Marti) the night before, so I could join in the fun as soon as possible.
So I do a /sea to see who’s there, to find I’m all alone there. I do a /sea all and get a 0 persons found.
(to his defense, he might have been offline to craft a cluster for someone on his mule).
So long storie short, we start about 2 hours late, and because of that not everybody (including me) gets his o-hat.

So we are going again sunday, for the last 2 o-hats that are needed, and lo and behold, none of the people that got their hat on saturday were there to help. Despite that we had enough people to make it work and went ahead. I lost the first /random, so I was going to be last, and people were already complaining it was taking to long, and after my hat dropped and I lotted on it, I asked if I could get a tele-holla as I forgot my warp cudgel.

I found myself in Latheine Plateau, a few seconds later, with the O-hat still in the treasure pool.

I don’t blame the WHM who tele’d me. I asked for a tele and got it.

On the possitive side, a lot of people felt for me, and are helping me get another cluster, and do another run, and I appreciate that a lot.

Hakutaku Eye Cluster {Found it.}

Did some more farming yesterday. In fact all I did was farming yesterday. Farmed about 80K in total (if my wool thread stacks sell) and that gave me a grand total 257K enough to get my hands on a cluster, which I bought just before I logged off.

So now I’m ready for the O-Hat run next saturday.

Farming, farming and some more farming

is what I should be doing. But I’m not, I did farm a burning eye yesterday (and sold it to the guy who’s gonna craft me a cluster) and it actually that was fun. I went to KRT, called my NPC (lvl40) and fought my way to the eyes. I picked them off one by one without any real problems, and when the room was empty I picked off the repops until my NPC left me.
After that I went farming in Misereaux Coast and atm I have about 200K on me. So I either need one more night of farming or a good Under Observation run, and I can buy the cluster.
I did a UO run monday night, but nothing but crap dropped for me. It was fun tho, and I still have loads of seals, so I will keep trying to get more of these done, and if Utsusemi: Ni drops, I’ll keep it and use it, so I am truely and completely done with /NIN.
And I am gonna keep at farming, there are a number of things I want to complete, and top of the list (atm) is the Mannequin Quest. If I cannot do a BCNM to get the body I might aswell farm up enough to go out and buy one, and get the quest done (and free up 3 inventory slots).

So I won’t be leveling any new (for me) jobs atm. I want to get some things done, and I cannot get them done without farming.
So farming it is. Until I get sick of it .

I Need Gilz

I’ve been busy this weekend, but not in game, so not much to report today. I unlocked DNC (and leveled it to 6) with the aid of some friends, who also took me to the Cavernous Maw in Jugner Forrest (S). Apperantly you need to unlock the maw in the past, to able to use them in the present (I wonder when I will see the new undead hound, the Micheal J. Fox ).
I didn’t do much else in the past yet.

But the reason I need Gilz is that there is a LS O-hat run this saturday, and I want a cool pointy hat. So far I have 1 eye, and 100K (approx.). So I need to do a lot of farming, since I believe the clusters go for 400K. And I want to get some more levels on DNC, and see some more of the past, and do Campaign and, and, and….

Let’s just focus on Farming/leveling DNC this week, and we’ll see how it goes.

or maybe, I can get some BCNM40 Under Observation done, and get lucky ….

Dynamis a gogo

Yes, yes I am still alive, but (and I am sure I said this before) I get bored pretty quickly, so I created another character, only to find out that running 2 characters semi simultaneously means you have 2 characters where you get nothing done.

So, what did I get done you might ask?

I put BLM on hold. I’ll probably try to get the AF hat and put the set in storage.
I did xp a bit on PLD again (dinged 35). It was to help an LS friend who had a pt, but no tank, so I volunteered to tank, but I had no gear, so I borrowed some from him, and actually had a good time.

Then I get to gear up DRG to help another LS friend, but before I was done the tank dropped, and we never made it to Crawler’s nest (at least not in my play time), but this time I had bought the gear myself. I am thinking of keeping it, and improving it, and level DRG. It has some solo-capabilities, and I had originally planned to be one, so….

And dynamis, I am still enjoying these (if people show up on time) and the last 2 we’ve done were great. Last sunday we did Dynamis Jeuno and we had 3 Melee gloves drop (including mine) and (among others) 3 BLM AFv2 pieces.
Yesterday was Dynamis Bastok and we had 4 Melee Gaiters drop (again including mine) and a BLM piece which was offered to me, but I politely declined in favor of people who might actually wear it.
So I went from no to 3 pieces of AFv2 pretty fast, and I am hoping to get the 4th piece (body) this year as we have a couple of beaucedine runs planned in december and I am second on the list.

Another thing I have been doing is leveling my NPC. I had the pearl, but never really did much with it. I am taking her (Radille, female Elvaan) to Miseraux Coast lately on my farming runs. She is set as healer, and at level 39 now. I am hoping that, at 40, she’ll start giving me Haste .
I do need to work on my bond tho, as she leaves after 20 mobs, which is pretty fast. I need to do some research on how to improve that, and how to get the Tactical Pearl once she is ready for that (and the armor I got for DRG will help me with that as it is a lvl 30 armor set that I can use as MNK too.

Getting closer

After logging in last night I, as usual, put up my flag, and prepared myself for doing some questing. I also noticed that besieged was about to start, and since I needed to cap my magic skills, I went to Al Zahbi first. 10 minutes into besieged I get an invite. Of course I accepted, and made my way to Jeuno, where we decideded to set up camp in the basement of Garlaige Citadel.

The party was fun, dinging 51 felt good, being able to use the elemental staves hurt my wallet. When the party disbanded, I bougt the ones I was missing, so I now have 8 weapons to carry with me.

Of course I have to stop lfg now, and get a few things done first.

- I need to get my lvl52 BLM AF boots, so I can wear them as soon as I level up.
- I really need to get the Moldavite earring in the Labyrinth of Onzozo
- Get on my monk to beat the crap out some beastmen BLM and hope they will drop their spells.

But tonight is Dynamis-Beaucedine, and I am second on the list for the Melee Cyclas. So I will try to be home on time, and maybe we’ll get lucky and 2 will drop…..
